Why did you decide to use a property search agent to find your first family home?
Initially we approached several estate agents and gave them a detailed brief of what we were looking for. But we found that the properties they suggested didn’t match our brief. Or were grossly over budget. We didn’t feel like we were getting a personal service from them at all and were completely disheartened by the whole process.
What was Harriet able to do that you were unable to do as unrepresented buyers?
Harriet was able to show us properties before they were advertised online, which was a huge advantage. She also provided a detailed evaluation of each property she suggested we view, outlining all the pros and cons. High street agents were not able to provide anywhere near the level of detail that Harriet did. Finally, having a professional property finder represent us really added weight to be viewed as serious buyers, by the estate agents and vendors.
Was Harriet able to negotiate the final purchase price of your chosen property?
Yes. Harriet negotiated a great price for us, which I’m certain we wouldn’t have secured as unrepresented buyers.
